Manukau Institute of Technology
School Overview
Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) was founded in 1970 and is located in the Manukau area of South Auckland. It is one of the largest polytechnics in New Zealand. Rated Category 1 (the highest level) by NZQA, MIT is recognised for delivering high-quality, practice-oriented education.

The institute uses small class sizes to ensure a personalised learning experience. Courses incorporate innovative structured practical projects so that students gain real industry experience during their studies. MIT works closely with industry leaders to ensure graduates possess the practical skills the market demands, and its graduate employment rate ranks among the highest in New Zealand.
