Immigration & Visa

The New Zealand Student Visa is required for international students undertaking full-time study in New Zealand. Student visa holders can study legally in New Zealand and are entitled to work up to 25 hours per week (full-time work is permitted during scheduled holidays).

Visa Types

• Student Visa: For international students undertaking full-time study in New Zealand for more than 3 months.
• Guardian Visa: For a parent or legal guardian accompanying a dependent child (aged 17 or under) who is studying in New Zealand.
• Pathway Student Visa: A single visa covering multiple consecutive courses, eliminating the need to apply for a new visa each time you change programmes.

Eligibility Requirements

• An Offer of Place from a New Zealand education provider
• Tuition fees paid (or proof of a tuition guarantee)
• Sufficient funds to cover living expenses
• Health and character requirements
• Genuine intention to study
• Medical and travel insurance
• English language test results may be required for certain visa types

2. Pay Tuition Fees — Pay tuition upon receiving your Offer of Place
3. Prepare Visa Documents — Proof of funds, medical examination, police clearance, etc.
4. Submit Visa Application — Apply online
5. Await Processing — Typically 4-6 weeks
6. Approval and Departure — Letu provides airport pickup and settlement services upon arrival
