Eastern Institute of Technology
School Overview
EIT (Eastern Institute of Technology) is a public polytechnic located on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island in the Hawke’s Bay region, well known for its strengths in agriculture, viticulture and winemaking, nursing, and business.
Set within one of New Zealand’s premier wine-producing regions, EIT’s viticulture and winemaking programmes are highly regarded. The school operates its own vineyard, winery, and laboratory facilities, and offers paid winery internships.
Business programmes cover a range of in-demand specialisations including marketing, supply chain management, and business analytics. Nursing, early childhood education, IT, agriculture, and engineering are all on the Green List for skilled employment.
